New Nightmare On Elm Street Movie

By Celebrity Gossip • on January 30, 2008

New Line is in talks with horror production company Platinum Dunes to re-launch the “Nightmare on Elm Street” movie series, the franchise that helped establish the studio. Maybe they will get Matt Damon or Freddie Prince Jr to play Freddy Krueger…hahahahahah! The first “Nightmare” movie was made by Wes Craven and released in 1984. The runaway success of the film spawned a slew of sequels and created one of the most popular villains in screen history, Freddy Krueger, played by Robert Englund. I bet he stays on as a consultant sor they throw the poor guy a cameo. The film centred on Krueger, a serial child killer murdered by angry parents, who returns with a burned face and a razor glove to terrorize teens in their dreams. A screenwriter will be hired once the Writers Guild of America strike ends. The producers — Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form — are hoping to focus part of the new movie on Krueger’s backstory. I could write this next script from my toilet seat. Contact me guys, I will do some scab writing for ya’ll  zack at starmuscle.com. I am actually a huge fan….I would maybe get Rob Zombie to be the Director. He did a decent job with Hallloweeen prequel. 1, 2, Star Muscle’s coming after you. 5, 6 grab your crucifix, 9, 10 never sleep again……………..

Matt Damon is NOT the new Freddy Krueger

Allright, I do give Rob Zombie credit. He finally made a movie that did not udderly suck. I was very impressed by ‘Halloween’. But I think Wes Craven back in the hot seat would be good. Unless they can get someone else. But I will say, that if they dont get Robert Englund to play Freddy, the movie might as well not be made. The dude IS Freddy. Plus I read in an interview of Robert, he said, and i quote,”I will be playing Freddy again in the future.” SO if someone makes this new ‘Nightmare’movie, POLEASE get the real Freddy, not some sucky actor who doesnt know what he’s doing. With all suppport to this movie, if you get Robert Emglund, I will not Support you if you dont, Kenny E.

i hated these movies but loved them… the idea of them was fantastic but they never reached full potential… nightmare on elm street could have been outragously scary but they always add humour and soften the films down…
let rob zombie have a go or maybe tarrentino…let us see a really pi*sed off freddie, that would rock! to see how evil he could really be. no humour or love intrests please guys… really always ruins every descent horror.

without robert englund there is no freddy dammit! plus they are putting tara reid in it? wtf!!!

By shay on September 22nd, 2008 at 11:34 am

i will be really pissed if they put tara reid in it, she is good at playing a ditsy blonde but she cant play a serious role, and no, it’s not a nightmare on elm street if robert enlund isnt in it… like the saying goes, if it aint broke dont fix it, well he does an amazing job at playing freddy why would anyone think that someone else could do it better?
