Major Movie Star | Jessica Simpson
Poor horse faced, transgender look-a-like, Jessica Simpson is getting some new bad press. She is still feeling the pain from her box-office failure ‘Employee Of The Month’ (2006), and then the ‘Blonde Ambition’ project getting delayed, then going straight to DVD, and finally vicious rumors on her new set. This has alot of Hollywood bigwigs asking if she has is the kiss of death when it comes to films.
On the set of the movie, ‘Major Movie Star’, (a ‘Private Benjamin’ rip-off) there is a slew of diva rumors attaching themselves to JS. She is showing up late to the set, makes big demands, but has none of the talent. The movie is a disaster. Jess demanded to wear a bikini from her own product line when the script called for a different suit. It is alleged that Goldie Hawn was going to do a cameo, but backed out when she heard of the drama.
But when the producer for the film was asked to comment her said, “Jessica’s fun, committed, and focused. She is a team player and makes it all fun. She’s a workhorse.” When she finds out that HE called her a horse, I bet the fireworks will fly.
On an editorial note, all I have to say is that if Jessica Simpson can’t play a role that is a cheap impersonation of what Reece Witherspoon did (’Legally Blonde’), in her ‘Blonde Ambition’ movie which is a dumb blonde playing a dumb blonde, then she needs to go to acting school and learn how to act, instead of being another Paris Hilton talentless, waste of space.

Just a comment about Jessica Simpson, I am a featured extra on the Major Movie Star and I would have to totally disagree with the strong mean words against Jessica.
I have found that she is a hard worker, enduring the heat with all of us, she would cut up and be funny and NEVER have I seen the director cut and have to redo a scene because of Jessica not acting well. I think she has been a great actress.
Thanks for listening……P.S. this is coming to you not as a major fan of Jessica…i never even knew how she looked until i saw her on set.

I worked on “Major Movie Star” and FWIW I never saw or heard anything bad about Jessica on the set. There were a few times when there were wardrobe & makeup delays but considering the Louisiana heat & humidity in the middle of August, I can appreciate why it took longer to get things right. There were some long moments in-between setups but that’s normal for filming. As for her acting… I can’t say much either way. The movie itself seemed to be a knock off of “Private Benjamin” and it was pretty obvious that this flick wasn’t going to be named by AFI as one of the best films of 2007.
Jessica was cordial and friendly as much as one could be being surrounded by hundreds of extras, some who travelled hundreds of miles just to be in the picture… she even spoke to me briefly between takes…so anyone who says she was snobby or diva-like is off the mark. As an actress….let’s just say that she could use more experience and seasoning and find her own voice instead of just trying to play another caricture of herself.
