The hit cable series Sex and the City catwalks its way to the big screen in this feature film continuation that fans all over have been clamoring for. Sarah Jessica Parker returns once again as Carrie Bradshaw, the style maven journalist whose romantic exploits are the key focus of the show. Also reprising their roles are Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, with the series’ executive producer Michael Patrick King taking on writing and directing chores.
Chris Noth will reprise his role as Carrie Bradshaw’s love interest in the new moview. After leaving fans in suspense with rumors that Mr. Big had been killed off, the writer/director Michael Patrick King confirms that Big is alive and well and ready to work. Noth says he needs to get to the gym and get ready for the role. The other SATC hunk, Jason Lewis (Samantha’s boy toy Smith, is still unconfirmed).
I think they should change the title to ‘Sex and the Shitty’. They should have rode that wave for as long as they could. The buzz is over, I predict a flop. Tv shows that go to the big screen have a lot of obstacles to beat. Do you just do a continuation of the series for the loyal fans? This would leave new viewers confused and in the dark. Do you just redo the beginning of the show and piss of the fans? Do you do a prequel with super botoxed chicks and have it be a joke? My theory is that they do a fast 20-35 minute recap of the whole series in the first part then jump into a new adventure. First of all people forgot about this HBO show and need to be reminded, second of all if they want to do a few of these junkers, then need to get a broader bigger audience. My guess is that it will be a joke and tank. It will have a huge opening day, then fall off the map. It will be a $6.88 Walmart special inside 12 weeks of it in theatres.

Plot points: Carrie is writing, once again, for The New York Post. Her career has accelerated, and she is forced to hire an assistant, Louise (Jennifer Hudson), to help her keep up with her career and manage her now valuable time.

Producers of ‘Sex And The City: The Movie,’ set for a Memorial Day Weekend 2008 opening, are reportedy staging fake film scenes to keep plot spoilers from leaking before the movie’s release. In 2004, SATC heads filmed faux scenes around New York City to avoid revealing key details of the series’ finale.

I am so freaking excited! This is going to be awesome. I couldn’t be happier. A SATC movie is amazing. I could careless about people hating on it. Anyone that would hate on SATC is not a true fan or even a fan at all! Memorial day weekend is the best time for the movie to come out.

Whoever wrote this comment on the top of this page, is losing their mind. This was the most popular show on HBO, I own all 7 seasons and have watched from beginning to end 3 times and own the trivia game. This movie will be a huge hit……women 18 to 60 will love it. So okay maybe a man wrote the so called prediction. I will be first in line the day it opens. Star muscle…….you are a bit on the crazy side to think this won’t be a hit. Don’t know your public as much as you think. After seeing on the big screen…….DVD here I come.

Producers of Sex and the City: The Movie are so certain the flick will be a huge hit when it opens in theaters over the 2008 Memorial Day holiday that they are working on scripts for several big screen followups.
“They are hoping it will become a franchise,” a Hollywood insider dished to In Touch Weekly.
“They would love to do four movies. Script ideas were even in the works before the writer’s strike.”
