All her moves are being captured in a new Style Network reality series, Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane. “I want to let my customers and my fans know how we do it,”. “There’s a lot of hard work that goes into [the fashion business], and a lot of family, tears and happiness.” Kimora also talks about how she maintains an amicable relationship with her ex, and whether she’s really dating Oscar nominee Djimon Hounsou. Getting back to the point. Okay Kimora has been seen out. She’s a celeb, what do you think is going to happen. You don’t know what she is doing with who because you are not there, you don’t know if it’s a platonic friendship or not and trust me if you were famous you would be seen with every tom dick and harry even if there is not type of relationship. People act as though platonic relationships are non-exsistant, maybe because they are in the sheets with everyone and want to project themselves onto someone else to make them feel better.
Now as far as her not being a mogul because “she got her money from her husband” are you serious? She had been modeling from the age of 13 for the house of Chanel. I doubt she had nothing to bring to the table in the relationship. When babyphat first started it was nothing but plan tees until she took over. So as far as I’m concerned she deserved it and was the most logical person to run that division giving her fashion background and “being able to relate with the female consumer”. So got, no. Worked for and deserved, yes!
Now I honestly can’t say whether she is a good mom or not. But, she still is a mom no less. I’m not there in her household to say what she is not doing. All I see is that the kids are feed, clothed, have shelter over there heads and don’t have to want for nothing. In that sense she’s a damn good mother and I can tell she love her girls cause she has them everywhere with her. As far as dicipline goes I don’t know how you would know anthing about that unless you some how affiliated with the Simmons family, I’ m not so I have no comment.
Kimora is doing her thing. I’m proud of her as a strong ethnic woman comming up in a man powered society. Sometimes when I catch her reality show on tv I don’t care for her Diva per sauna that se gives off, but I can see where it comes from. I have a friend that kinda reminds me of her and they are both spoiled. However, my girlfriend is still as sweet as she can be and with me understanding her the diva side doesn’t bother me. I don’t know Kimora personally but even though she has that diva side from what I have observed of her she seems to have a good spirit.

I’m tired of everyone as they say these days “hating” on everyone. All it is really, is jealousy. When I was coming up my neighborhood had a “it takes a village to raise a child” mentality where everyone was proud to see you doing well and would compliment you on good work and would tear you up when you were doing bad. I truly miss those days when I see how people are today.

I saw the show for the first time tonight…I like watching Run’s House so figured I’d be entertained with watching her show. Ehhhh…her kids need discipline, but other than that, it seems like she runs a tight ship and isn’t particularly nasty. Or rather, I’ve seen other celebs get nastier on television. Who knows what goes on in “real life”. People in that world operate on a totally different level than real people do.
The rules are different. You have to act accordingly. Sorry, but its true. How grounded could any of us be if we were put in that position (of fame, fortune, and the public eye)?
Obviously she has some appeal with the masses, or she wouldn’t be where she is today. Russell’s money could only get her so far. Fashion is dictated by a handful of people in a closed room somewhere secretly where nobody has a clue as to what’s going on. They decide what color, taste, texture, nationality, race, religion, hair care product, etc is in vogue. Its all controlled, people, all of us are mere pawns. The entertainment industry runs our lives, every single one of us. To be anti-mainstream is to be dictated by it too, so don’t think it doesn’t affect you.
Honestly, could many of us deal with that kind of pressure every day of our lives? Sure, we struggle to make ends meet, pay our bills, feed and clothe ourselves and our families, but at least we get to deal with things in private. If we make a mistake, it isn’t likely going to be gabbed about in 239842387 websites and magazines.
There’s always room at the top, by the way. We all are given choices in life. The most important choices are often the most simple (not the easiest, but most simple).

Daily I find people sizing me up and paying more attention to my looks, clothes and jewlry, not even being able to focus on what’s coming out of my mouth. Other women like me KNOW I AM NOT LYING. Frankly speaking, Kimora appears to be stuck up. I think that Russell Simmons is better off without the gold digger. kimora is a trendsetter she has encouraged me to start my own fashion business. i agree the younger daughter is a bit disrespectful but she can be tamed. Leaving Russsell was a good step he looks tired and old and he hasn’t been faithful. he knew what he was getting into when he married her she could have ran when he had the chance.
