Heather Graham’s Parents Disowned Her
Heather Graham’s religious parents were so horrified when they saw their daughter playing a porn star in Boogie Nights, they disowned her. Graham admits her mom and dad had no idea what to expect from her role as Rollergirl in the film - and were so shocked they severed contact with her.
She says, “They didn’t really want to hear my point of view, and thought that, because I took the part, then I was like that in real life. It would be nice if I did have a good relationship with my family, and yes, part of me longs to have a mom and dad who love and accept me for who I am. But if they never do, it’s OK.”
Everytime I see Heather all I can think about is Roller Girl. That role really stuck with her….no pun intended.
