Dominic Monaghan doesn’t seem to be too happy that his character, Charlie, was killed off the hit TV series Lost. “I think lots of people are gonna be pretty pissed off. Especially as there are others on the show they are more keen on having disappear,” ranted the actor, as reported by the UK’s Mirror. Apparently, the actor was so upset, he didn’t even have a proper going away party. “I just said bye to the people I wanted to say bye to in the right way.” However, Monaghan did manage to see the bright side of the situation: “It’s time to move on,” he said. “There’s a whole bunch of opportunities that have been up in the air as I couldn’t commit to them because of Lost.”
I remember when Lost first started and I was like, whooa they got the hobbit from Lord of the Rings to be on the show, that’s kinda cool. I kept thinking, I can’t believe he is ’settling’ for television. His character on Lost was annoying at times, but deep and heart-renching. His struggle with heroin addiction had some powerful acting in it. Dominic’s character, Charlie had alot of ups and downs but in the end he was a hero (or was he….?). He must’ve been a male diva on set or wanted too much money (maybe he was poking a writer’s girlfriend). He shouldn’t leave on bad terms though, they could easily write him in some flashbacks or character crossovers…..

that’s a bunch of garbage. why would he be mad when he has said from the very first day that being killed off is no big deal, and something that comes with the job. people make up shit and then everything blows up for nothing.

I think he demanded more centric episodes maybe to matck Fox(he had like 5-6 in the last season) whereas Dominic only had one or two. Guess its the old Ego-go-go.

he didnt get fired!!! it was Doms decision! he said to the writers that he wants to quit if they wont give him more screen time..and they just didnt have enough room for more charlie :( and by the way he was one of the actors on set that almost everyone loved as far as i know. he was really popular on set! anyway im soooooo sad that charlie died :(

He wasn’t fired he wanted to leave because they were making Charlie a background character and being obsessed with this Skack triangle that no one actually gives a toss about.
