Godsmack Car Accident
Godsmack front man Sully Erna was involved in a car crash on Wednesday that has left a 25-year-old woman in critical condition in a Boston, Massachusetts hospital. The rocker’s Hummer H3 collided with a Toyota Camry near Boston, leaving Lyndsay Taylor with life-threatening injuries.
Jessica Benson is in a coma and on life support, according to EagleTribune.com. She was sitting in the back seat of the Camry when Erna’s vehicle rear-ended the car. Reports suggest she was taken to Lawrence General Hospital and later airlifted to a Boston hospital for further treatment after firefighters used power tools to free Taylor from the Camry.
Next time, don’t use the Lord’s name in vain when choosing a band name

I know Sully, and he is an arrogant asshole who should be thankful that nobody was killed. I hope that his next album and subsequent tours proceeds all go to the accident victims, and that this incident brings him back down to earth.
This has nothing to do with the band name, which, incidentally was an Alice in Chains song. This prick better pray to the Wiccan Gods he worships that he not take life for granted…especially other peoples…

I do know the details of the accident so I can judge! I can’t give specifics, but I work for the insurance agency of one of the parties involved. The Toyota was stopped at a stop sign when Sully plowed into the back of it. He didn’t even try to slow down because there weren’t any tire marks. His Hummer drove right up onto the back of the car and now people are saying that he is traumatized? What about the passenger? What about the driver that had to watch the passenger bleeding from serious head wounds while rescue workers tried to free her?

the meaning of the name godsmack is about karma. The name actually stems from Sully Erna taking jabs at a fellow bandmate for having a sore on his lip for a photo shoot, after days of harrassment, Sully came to practice with the same sore on his lip. This my friends is a “Godsmack” so it’s actually not a spiteful name at all, it’s actually acknowledging God as a strong power.
P.S. the bible that I have read states over and over again that the lord shows no vengence, so your claim MAKES NO SENSE! I believe the bible reads that God loves and protects us all….

This whole blog just gets me all enticed! How can anyone sit around and judge someone for getting into a car accident! Shit happens especially in cities like Boston I’m from SF and I know with city driving sometimes shit just happens! whether u r a multimillionaire should not have anything to do with the fact that u r human and humans make mistakes. and as for the namesless one above coming in here and talking about his work, is a serious violation of code, and could result in an IP tracing and problems with their given firm. It is not fair to release info about people and talk smack when you should certinaly know better! Accidents happen and for all of you who are so worried about people’s souls in here perhaps you should follow that fire in your hearts and pray for those involved instead of being hateful. It’s awful that people insist on being so spiteful out of jealousy also.

I just met Sully at their show in Philadelphia at the Tower Theater on 5/22. He is a total arrogant asshole.
We paid $195 per person for the all access to meet the band and he acted like he didn’t want to be there wouldn’t speak was a total jerk!

I meet Sully in Tampa, and he was not arrogant at all. No time to talk, too many others to take pictures with and meet and a concert to put on, geez…. isn’t that what you went to the show for in the first place?
And the girl has a name it’s Lidsey, and I’m sure that Sully knows it well and cares deeply what is going on with her. He is a wiccan and as so it is his nature and duty to care.
I’m sad for Lindsey and hope that all is going well for her, and she recovers fully. Accidents are just that as many others have said. Life is all one big lesson for us all, Sully and Lindsey included.
It must be lonely and sad to be the owner of this page as they really have missed the point.

You fuckin idiots, the phrase “god smack” is something meaning “what goes around comes around”. It was chosen as the band name after Sully had been “god smacked”. He was making fun of one the guys for having a cold sore, and then ended up getting a cold sore himself. Someone in the band said he had been god smacked, it’s a karma kinda thing.
It has nothing to do with religion at all, quit being such fucking bible thumpers and seeing what you WANT to see… see what’s really there instead.

I have met sully 3 times. the first time i didnt pay a cent and he talked to me and my family for like 5 minutes. he patted my little girl on the head and told her how cute she was. he even posed for a picture and told us to bring the kids to a park to play. the second time he was a making music sounds with his mouth like he was getting pumped for the show and he told us to have a good time at the show. the third time i asked if i could wear his hat and he said no and he said not till after the shower and i said i already took a shower today and he said no we have to take a shower together. i am wonderin whats gonna happen next time?? anyways he is a person who cares about people and im sure he was real bummin about the situation and for your info the girl has been out of the hospital for sometime now. she is able to write on her myspace page. god was with her and helped her get out of the hospital. i do not know the extent of her injuries.

And to freedomofspeechcuntface (clever name), believe it or not, but some Wiccans don’t believe in everything so literally, as do many christains. So even if religion is made up, that is not going to stop wiccans from practicing, because religion is an entirely personal experience. I am personally an Irish Celtic Reconstructionist (don’t ask), and I do believe in my Gods literally, but freedom of speech is never very good laced with ignorance, as in your case.
