Tim Burton Wins Award

Tim Burton will be this year’s recipient of the Golden Lion lifetime achievement award at this fall’s 64th annual Venice International Film Festival. In addition to the award, the director will have another honour. September 5th will be designated Tim Burton Day, The Hollywood Reporter reported. “Tim Burton is a cinematic genius, the most imaginative child of the new age of cinema,” said Marco Muller, Venice’s artistic director. “He has a unique talent of being able to imbue his fantasies with emotional depth.” Two of the director’s movie premieres, both animated - The Nightmare Before Christmas in 1994 and Corpse Bride in 2005 - have previously been shown at the festival.

I am sick of this overrated director. His work was once original, now he constantly repeats and copies his own work and hasn’t done anything original in a long time. He’s trapped in a style that is as lame as Marylyn Manson. Being gothy to be gothy is commercial you POSER!
