He is nothing but a joke and that’s unfortunate since this is a true singing competition. People who vote need to realize this is a vocal contest. He needs to go. I’m tempted to not even watch anymore as he is making a mockery of this show and we are allowing it to happen.

Voting for Sanjaya is exactly what viewers should do. Simon, Paula, and Randy, choose Sanjaya to be in the top 24 when there were numerous other guys more talented. I think they deserve to have Sanjaya win and the show end. They stack the contestants so they will have a diverse viewing audience and attempt to increase the likelihood that the type of contestant they favor will win. Go Sanjaya, Go VFTW.com, and Go Howard.

I remember when Stern was funny. I didn’t miss a show. But that was then, and this is now. He’s stuck around way too long. Others have passed him by, and he thinks he is getting authentic respect as a talent when, sadly, he’s about as comparable to an aging Tony Randall as one could ever be. He’ll probably have a kid with that horse-toothed girlfriend of his in 10 years, just to make it official. I’d say he’s the male version of Rosie O’Donnell…still famous but the punchline of thousands of jokes. Pretty lame when you piggy-back your own show onto one of the most popular TV shows of our day. Maybe Al Sharpton gave him some lessons on how to steal someone else’s thunder for yourself!

I think Sanjaya has talent, but has not had the experience to really “go for it” like the others have. Many of the others have been background singers, etc. Listen carefully. He did make it to the show; that should tell you something. He may learn to sell what he has and shock everyone before the show is over (or maybe when he turns 18). Besides, he’s turning into quite an entertainer.
