Nikki Cox fired from the hit television show, Las Vegas.

JAMES Caan is leaving “Las Vegas.”Caan says he wanted out of the NBC series to pursue his movie career, which has included classic films such as “The Godfather” and “Misery.”"Las Vegas” star Nikki Cox is also leaving the show, though it is unclear why. Studio sources say Cox was a victim of budget cuts on the cast-heavy show.Reps for Caan say he decided to leave on his own.

“I’ve had a wonderful four years, worked with great people and made friends for life working on ‘Las Vegas.’ But I’m eager to return to where my heart is, which is film, and due to the show’s schedule, I missed some great opportunities to do that,” Caan said in a statement.

Cox, on the other hand, was trimmed thanks to the show’s large ensemble cast and its move from Mondays to Fridays, a night with less viewers tuning in.

“I’m very sad and shocked,” Cox said through a spokesperson. “I wish them all the best of luck and had a great time.”

On a personal note, Las Vegas is one the ten tv shows that I watch. Some episodes are cheesy and goofy, and there’s more holes in the plot than swiss cheese, but its sexy and great friday night entertainment. I often watch shows two, three, four times. Alot of people say this show Jumped the Shark, but whatever….I am excited about Vanessa Marcil is the new owner. Her character is hands down the best.

I like the show. I think sometimes it gets cheesy and unrealistic, but it’s still entertainment.

By dan on March 6th, 2007 at 10:37 pm

What do you mean by holes in the plot and jumped the shark?

By Don on March 8th, 2007 at 5:45 pm

This will be my last season watching I like Nikki Cox I wanted the hole Danny & Mary story to happen again.

By Lisha on March 9th, 2007 at 3:51 pm

I love the show and have watched every episode, although I will not be watching the season finale, and I will no longer be watching the show, because I know Nikki Cox and James Caan will not be back. I was hoping Danny and Mary would have more of a story line and get back together, and James Caan made the show for the person in charge of the casino. I love Vanessa Marcil, she is the fun part of the show that makes it more intertaining.

By Aristotle on March 10th, 2007 at 4:09 am

I like this show, Danny & Mike are a hoot. I’m disappointed the black girl is no longer on the show. I think losing James Caan will hurt a lot. Sam’s annoying. I think the show is going downhill

By Annie on March 10th, 2007 at 4:56 am

I have watched each and every episode of this series and have loved it from day one !
But with the loss of Nikki Cox this will be one that I will give a miss to next year!
I had hoped the writers would see what they had with the pairing of Mary and Danny but obviously they are too foolish for that!
If it was a matter of having to let someone go due to money, why not Molly Sims.
The show has been going down ever since they paired those two up!

By andrew on March 10th, 2007 at 5:52 am

i like the show and i believe it is one of the best, i like danny and delinda together, i certainly did not like danny and mary and will continue watching the show for as long as it is on TV, however i am very upset about the leaving of James Caan, he was a significant part of the show and i wish he was not leaving.

By Randy on March 10th, 2007 at 8:39 am

Tonight’s show (The last 10 min.) was very good…. So sorry to see that Nikki & James are leaving the show, they will be missed.

By Paul on March 10th, 2007 at 1:42 pm

Ed (Caan) made the show. It’ll be hard to watch next year.

By tim on March 10th, 2007 at 3:51 pm

What a fuckin finale

By Bill on March 10th, 2007 at 6:27 pm

I think the show has been going downhill as it has tried to be more serious and more action oriented. The show was better when it was more over the top, and didn’t take itself so seriously. Molly Sims was great when she was being ditzy, not so great now. Unless they put a bit more humour back in, Im gone.

By PegMan on March 10th, 2007 at 6:28 pm

The show won’t last 6 episodes next year before being cancelled. The only 2 “name” performers are gone & the swill written can’t be carried by the sorry cast remaining.

By Bill on March 11th, 2007 at 1:48 am

It was the finale for this season. But at end of show it said “to be continued”. So we will get to see Nikki and James in the first show next season. Also I read Nikki left of her own accord to start a family. Not because of budget cuts.

By sarah on March 11th, 2007 at 9:41 am

I really love the show las vegas it’s exciting and fun to watch you never know what’s going to happen fun and crazy next. I love Vanessa Marcil, i have watched her since her days on GH and i really miss her there (it would be great to have her back), but she really makes the show las vegas better, because you never know what she’s going to do next.

Love the show keep up the good work

By VegasFan on March 11th, 2007 at 9:50 am

You have to be kidding me? They fired Nikki Cox? Why not Delinda Dum Dum? You are correct, since Delinda and Danny got together, the show has gone down hill.

By giraffe on March 12th, 2007 at 6:41 pm

Jumped the shark refers to an episode of Happy Days with Fonzie ‘riding a shark’. This was near the end of the series when the ratings declined.

By Jenny on March 13th, 2007 at 3:13 am

I am happy to no longer have to watch Nikki Cox always with her boobs showing way too much.

By mama says on March 13th, 2007 at 3:16 am

Too bad that Big Ed, and Mary will be leaving the show, a lot of folks were waiting for Mary and Danny to tie the knot.
Delinda and Danny just are not sparking. Cheryl Ladd will also be greatly missed, my guess is there will not be much of a roll for her once James Caan leaves.

By nighteyes on March 13th, 2007 at 12:25 pm

wow, I cant believe they are getting rid of an actual actress Nikki but keeping horrible cant act Molly Sims.Idiots

By Teta on March 14th, 2007 at 5:41 pm

I really thought the show was written with James Caan in mind for the lead. He is so perfect in that role. The show won’t be the same without him.

Nikki won’t be a loss. She was sweet Mary the first year and was well liked. Now, I won’t miss her botoxed lips and those ridiculous outfits.

By igor on March 15th, 2007 at 1:11 am

anyone knows when it will beging? please??

By agon on March 15th, 2007 at 6:26 am

I agree that it will be very tough to replace James Caan, but Nikki Cox’s character was so vanilla (though I admit she’s quite a bit better actress than Molly Sims) and boring. You all are right about the need for some significant humor injections, but even more importantly, I think the show needs to move back to Monday or some nite that is not Friday. Does anyone know why they moved it? Surely the demographic they are trying to reach are out and about and too busy to record the show each Fri. nite. Any thoughts?

By Lisa on March 17th, 2007 at 5:38 am

I’m very disappointed James Caan is leaving. He made the show and was the reason I started watching it in the first place. The show has lost a lot of its original spark and I’m not sure it can survive much longer without Mr. Cann.

I won’t miss Nikki Cox at all. Her character has become annoying and drippy. I wish they’d bring Nessa back. Her character had personality.

By charles on March 28th, 2007 at 4:51 pm

I hope this doesnt spell the end for the show! Its one of the few shows that combine a good mix of comedy and drama and class. I will miss James Caan or Ed Deline a tough guy with heart! I really liked Nikki Cox character as well and thought Danny and her would end up together in the end and seemed made for each other. I like the rest of the characters on the show and still will watch the show. Finally something to enjoy besides too much CSI or all the Law and Order spinoffs enough is enough. Lots of luck to the rest of the crew and i hope the show continues on!!!

By marion on March 29th, 2007 at 10:12 pm

I was disappointed that Nikki Cox and James Caan are leaving the show. I won’t be watching anymore - I was only watching waiting for Danny and Mary to get back together….

By Carol on April 6th, 2007 at 10:17 pm

I also read in the TV Guide that Josh is leaving this season as well. Anybody have any updates on that?

There basically won’t be anything left of the show.

Any feelings?

By JJ on April 7th, 2007 at 1:06 am

Nikki Cox couldn’t act her way out of a paper bag.
They should replace James Caan with Dennis Farina.

By Kobe on April 9th, 2007 at 6:51 am

I have really liked watching the show Las Vegas. The security tricks, the city, the hot chicks…all are great. James makes the show. Without him, the show will probably not make it. They may have to bring him back for the last finale…I imagine that James will go to jail for shooting Mary’s father…it looked like her dad was shot at least twice ..if not three times..that would have Nikki and James getting it on in jail…those tits are huge…her face is fugly…Sam needs to go as well..bring on some younger hotties…maybe some asian hotties..

By Nate on April 10th, 2007 at 4:43 am

when is the show going to be back on again?

By Paul on April 13th, 2007 at 4:00 pm

Las vegas is brilliant show i love every bit of it. With the James gone and nikki The show will not be the same that what makes las vegas-las vegas. I hope the regain the show back with 2 good actor and actress gone Please keep the show going.

By Las Vegas News on April 16th, 2007 at 2:44 pm

Former “Magnum, P.I.” star Tom Selleck is in discussions to join “Las Vegas” as the new leading man of NBC’s fast-paced light drama.

He would play the smart, powerful, fun-loving new owner of Montecito Resort & Casino, a new character designed to fill the void left by the recent departure of James Caan.

Caan, who played the head of the casino’s surveillance team for four years, recently left the series, saying he wanted to return to features.

“Las Vegas” was picked up for a fifth season in February and is slated to begin production on its order soon. The show also is looking to add a beautiful female concierge in the wake of the departure of co-star Nikki Cox. Caan and Cox left amid news that the NBC renewal was contingent on budget cuts.

Josh Duhamel also stars on “Vegas,” with Molly Sims, James Lesure and Vanessa Marcil rounding out the cast.

Selleck’s starring role on “Vegas” would mark his first regular gig on a drama series since his Emmy-winning turn on “Magnum, P.I.,” which ran on CBS for eight seasons until 1988.

He followed that up with memorable recurring roles on “Friends” and “Boston Legal.”

Selleck also has had success with the “Stone Cold” series of original movies for CBS, with the latest installment, “Jesse Stone: Sea Change,” slated to premiere in May. He also is a member of the voice cast of the Walt Disney Co.’s animated feature “Meet the Robinsons.”

By Jackie on April 16th, 2007 at 11:01 pm

I’m going to miss James Caan and Nikki Cox. I’m with others, if it was budget to fire Nikki, they made a huge mistake - no acting talent Molly Sims should have been canned!

By tina on April 19th, 2007 at 4:11 pm

i will miss james caan.his character ed deline was quite a big influence for me to watch the show.nikki cox hope her life turns out great after leaving the show.

By Bill on April 22nd, 2007 at 1:31 am

Poster #2 asked what “holes in the plot” and “jumped the shark” meant.
“holes” means the outcome of a story line is obvious and loosly strung together. You can see through obvious “holes” the direction the story is heading.
“Jump the Shark” has become an industry standard for a show desperatly trying to survive after it’s time is past. It refers to an episode of “Happy Days” which had a silly plot line at the beach where Fonzie (Henry Winkler) was watersking and literally “jumped” over a dangerous shark. It was so corny yet contrived to try to get audience interest and the show went downhill after that and ended.
That being said, Sam owns the joint and Tom Sellick is coming to run it…looks all good to me.

By Jill on April 24th, 2007 at 2:28 am

When is this show on I was watching it every friday but now it is no longer on Friday where is the show?

By myriam bermudez on May 4th, 2007 at 11:38 pm

Dear Sir or Madam:

I also was watching the show which I loved, where did it go, what happen? I can’t believe that after watching the show every Friday night it just was taken off without an explinatiion to viewers like myself.

By Amanda on May 20th, 2007 at 11:24 am

I liked Mary and Danny as a couple. Now that Nikki Cox will not be returning as Mary, I will no longer be watching the show. I just can’t see the show being as good as before.

By Brian on May 23rd, 2007 at 12:29 am

If Cheryl Ladd does not appear in Las Vegas any more, i will not watch it…Period!

By Roy on May 23rd, 2007 at 3:10 am

Ok boy’s and girls and die hard fan members, after reading some of the remarks made by some of the fan members it makes me want to sit back and say uhh excuse me but - whaaat, do you really want this show to stay on the air, then say something that will get the attention of the suite’s up stair’s, provding that some one up there really gives a rat’s *** and reads these responses from the audience in the first place

Let’s start with the loss of Ed Deline, while this is a tragic loss of the great leadership that held the staff of the Montecito together, we have no voice or decision making in that particular matter, we will have to move on, Mr. Cann’s talent in bringing Ed Deline into the for front as a leading character is unsurpassed and will be missed dearly, so good luck to him in his future endeavors.

AS for the loss of Mary, well excuse me but - yawn - what was the real purpose of her character - exactly, this is why she is no longer there, budget cut’s ok what ever makes the front office feel better about writing her out, which brings us to the charater of Cheryl Ladd, Mrs. Deline.

I would imagine that with the exit of Ed Deline she will be going with him, after all what was her purpose of being in the show, to get Ed to resign, less we forget her ultimatum to him if he didn’t resign.

The replacement of ED Deilne is slated to be none other than the great Mr. Tom Selleck, ok not a great #1 choice but not a bad one either, here is where the writers are going to have to really earn their pay check’s, as Jesse Stone he is excellent, how ever as a replacement for Ed, this will remain to be seen.

If the writers bring Mr. Selleck in as a easy going soft spoken good looking hunk of a man, where all the women on the staff fall over themselves in trying to do what ever it takes to get in his favor and gain his attention, we might as well go ahead and call the paramedics, this will not gain the audience confidance, the show in my opinion will not gain the ratings it will need to make it to the end of the season, and the writers and cast, and crew will all be out of a paycheck, but than again who am I to give such an opinion, just a fan and like the rest of the viewing audience, a voice and a number in the ratings.

If on the other hand the writers bring Mr. Selleck in as a highly recomended replacement from Ed, who might be an alumni from Ed’s back ground, with the same type of experience in security, with the same toughness and heart for the peolpe that work for him, well who knows I for one would be willing to look at the change with an open mind and watch the show just to see where it will go. In my opinion Mr. Selleck at least deserves that respect and a chance to make it work.

As for Delinda and Danny, well that situation I believe really needs an overhaul of some kind, for one Delinda can’t really be daddy’s little girl, since daddy will no longer be around, so I say to the writers, it’s time she grew up a little and showed some type of purpose on the show to gain audience attention, and as for Sam being kidnaped by some Millionaire maniac, I say to the writers come on guy’s who’s idea was that anyway, you guy’s need to go back to the conference room with a case of Red Bull and a couple of pot’s of coffee, and hash this thing out where it will gain audience atention and cofidance.

In closing I realize my words may fall on deaf ears, or may not even be read by anyone who makes a difference, but I for one would like to see the show make it to the end of the season, where no one receives a pink slip with a note that say’s sorry folks the ratings just weren’t there.

By Jay on May 28th, 2007 at 2:11 am

They need to bring nessa back and add more humor the show isnt the same since the end of season 3

By Leo on May 30th, 2007 at 2:21 am

No more Nikki means no more Danny and Mary. That was pretty much the only reason I tuned in every day. See Ya!

By Dee on May 31st, 2007 at 5:39 am

Get Nikki back!!!! She is worth the extra money. What were you thinking?????

By Traci on May 31st, 2007 at 11:50 am

I agree with Jay. Bring Nessa back!! Losing Caan is going to hurt. How will they write him off? When is the show returning? What about Cheryl Ladd?

By Ann on June 1st, 2007 at 3:49 am

I quit watching last season, thinking I’d return if it improved. The news that Nikki Cox was fired pretty much sealed it for me. I’m done for good.

By Julie on June 1st, 2007 at 1:18 pm

I agree with some of the other posters- if you had to get rid of someone why not Molly? Her acting is painful to watch and so many people just tuned in to see if/when Danny and Mary would get back together. I won’t be watching unless I here they get Nikki back for some guest appearances AND stop insulting us with the junior high storlyine of Danny and Delinda.

By B on June 1st, 2007 at 3:40 pm

what are you all on about danny and mary was crap, they have to much history and she was so annoying. from the start the intrest has always been danny and delinda that is were the fun is, delinda is funny and smart and has made the show more interesting to watch.

By anne on June 7th, 2007 at 6:47 pm

I’ll miss James, but love tom. I agree with one responce, bring back nessa! I really hope that the show does not fail, ’cause I love it in all its ditzy glory.

By Roberta on June 14th, 2007 at 10:39 pm

I can’t stand Delinda and now you are saying they got rid of Nikki Cox. Who makes these decisions? Too bad, with Ed and Mary gone the show will be boring.

By The 2 Son on June 23rd, 2007 at 12:37 am

You guys are stupid to get rid of Nikki and the other dude because your ratings will go to shit and the show with stop anyway…….

By Tomkatlover on July 7th, 2007 at 5:07 am

The whole firing of Nikki Cox is just plain stupid. I cannot stand that whole Delinda and Danny thing. I have been tuning in for four stupid years, waiting for Danny to go after Mary, and now I get no chance. These people are totally lame to fire her. Shows over for me. Good luck to the others.

By Dennis on July 18th, 2007 at 2:17 am

TOM SELLECK BABY…MOVE OVER JAMES CAAN…MAGNUM IS COMING TO VEGAS….

By Fred on July 19th, 2007 at 8:11 pm

I will diffinitly miss Niki. I will also miss any other people that get replaced. Good show why ruin it by taking these people off.

By Hang on July 25th, 2007 at 3:47 am

I dont thinki iwill be watching Las Vegas anymore after the 4th season. I just always watched it for the hope that Mary and Danny would get back to gether. Danny is a better person when he is with her and Delinda is to HIg-maintanence and ditzy…they should ahve gotten rid of that character :S

By Bcgrun on July 28th, 2007 at 11:28 pm

What a shame. I love Tom Selleck, who I understand is coming to the show in some capacity of James Caan’s replacement, but losing James Caan and Niki coupled with the lousy writing the past season or so have me thinking that maybe any show on PBS in that time slot might probably be a better watch. I’ve seen every episode up to now but I’m thinking I’ll pass on anything from this point on. Hopefully the rest of the cast can catch a new paycheck someplace because I think they are going to be in line at casting calls before the season is over.

By ALan on August 18th, 2007 at 1:39 pm

Nikki was hot! Forget the budget cuts….get her back!!!!

By brandy on August 25th, 2007 at 1:20 pm

If Nikki Cox gets anymore plastic surgery she will be unrecognizable. Her lipo lips look awful. She looks entirely different than she did when the show began. Enough with the boobs too. I believe she is anorexic. Glad she is gone.

By jill on September 16th, 2007 at 6:06 am

so glad that nikki cox is gone! The show will be a lot better without her, but would have been even better if james caan was going to stay.

i probably wont watch the show as much since nikki cox is off the show. she was really great. too bad it moved the show to friday. dont know why, not a lot of people stay in on friday the should leave it on monday or move it to another day, besides some stupis show like spelling bee. or big loser come on like you couldnt put that on some other day give me a break. you need to to fire the guy who did the show times the shows are suppose to be on

By eric on September 29th, 2007 at 3:21 am

hey jill i think ur jealous of nikki cox cuz she is pretty hot, but all the girls are hot, maybe ur not. thats why why you wish her gone. were you a big girl is that why

By eric on September 29th, 2007 at 3:25 am

ONE LAST THING NBC MOVE THE SHOW TO ANOTHER NITE, MOST OF US HAVE LIVES ON FRIDAY NITE, IT WILL GET MORE VIEWERS, AND ALSO BRING NIKKI COX BACK SHE WAS HOT , YES YOU HATERS SHE WAS HOT.

By daysma on September 29th, 2007 at 5:07 am

I think the season opener was great! I will truly miss James Caan. Nikki Cox, well, she became annoying at the start of last season, so I wont miss her.

I think the writers did a great job with Tom Selleck! He is tough, zany, and ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN! I loved that!

I too wish it were on a different night though. Thank god for pvr!

I think they have learned from their falling ratings and are making some great changes in the storyline. I say we give it a shot! The 2 hours I just watched were great!

By Ricky on September 29th, 2007 at 12:57 pm

I absolutely LOVE ” Las Vegas “. I think the chemistry between ALL the cast is great and I am sure they all get along off the set. I am very disappointed that James Caan and Nikki Cox will not be on the show anymore. I missed the fisrt 1/2 hour of the show Friday ( the series premiere of season 5 ), I am guessing that Nikki Cox’s character Mary probably killed her father ( remember she bought a gun in the last seasons finale because her child abusing father got off all criminal sexual molestation charges.) I just read that James Caan wants to return to movies, which he is great in ( my favorite James Caan movie, hands down ” Misery ” )I do NOT like Tom Selleck in any role, especially on my favotite TV show ” Las Vegas “,as the hotels new president ( the role James Caan held for 4 years ). I am hoping that Sam ( Vanessa Marcil )will find a way to pay the outstanding debt that her ex-husband left her when he died and left her as the owner of the Monticeto( spelling ? ) Hotel and the IRS informed her she owed ALOT of back tax money ( thats how Sam was kidnapped, she accepted a marriage proposal from one of her whales and he slipped her a mickey in her champagne and she passsed out and he rolled out of the hotel with Sam in his luggage ). If they are looking for a handsome, yet tough person to replace James Cann I am sure that the casting director of Las Vegas can come up with other people than Tom Selleck. You know what…Joan Collins, YES Alexis Morelle Carrington Colby Dexter Colby Carrington Colby Rowan Colby, from Dynasty. If they could get her to run the Montecito, I bet the ratings would go through the roof!!!! Monica ( Lara Flynn Boyle ) was OK as the President of the hotel, but she was too much of a selfish bitch ( language, sorry ) Bringing in another strong woman, like Joan Collins would be great. She would need some self defense training, but she seems like she is in good shape, Joan is only 7 years older than James Caan, so age wouldn’t be a factor. If not Joan Collins, than ANY of the strong women of the 80’s night time dramas, like I think this would be great but then again, anyone. Victoria Principal, Linda Gray, Joan Van Ark, Stephanie Beacham, or a few men like William Devane, Patrick Duffy or this would be fantastic… George Clooney !!!!! ANYONE would better than Tom Selleck. Even though I do not like Tom Selleck, I still love the show and I hope it will continue to stay on for at least another 3-5 years ( ER is on its 14 season !!! ) I hope I didnt offend anyone with this post, it was not my intention. Thanx for reading, have a great weekend ! Ricky

By Allie on September 29th, 2007 at 2:29 pm

I am Sooooooo glad NIKKI/Mary is not on the show anymore. I couldn’t stand watching the sunken, anorexic cleavage and punched out lips. If her clothes draped any lower the show could not be aired. On last night’s show, SAM/Vanessa should have gotten a “speeding ticket” with her not stop gabbing. COME ON….doesn’t anyone in that casino have valium or something ? As for the others, I think James Caan will return when the baby’s born. The producers left ALOT of open story lines — I guess they want to see what the ratings will do.

By Gary on September 29th, 2007 at 5:37 pm

I’m VERY disappointed in the loss of James Caan after the ridiculous plot lines of who owns the hotel. One owner flew off the penthouse, Dean Cain was eaten by a giant squid… Sam inherits it but only for a few days…

Big Ed should have finally got the Moticetto. That was the way the story was driving over it’s entire run. Now we have Magnum PI as a Rich Cowboy who bought the place. Seems like they looked around at who they could get cheap and grabbed Tom Selleck. (No offense), But he has less of a chance of making the show work, than Dean Cain.
I think as others have pointed out, this show has or is about to jump the shark and soon will be gone.

The show has changed focus from James Caan representing the old style of Vegas, to a cartoon. Quigley down under will not bring in many of his former fan base from Magnum PI as he disappeared from the TV screen for too long. Hopefully they will kill off Tom Selleck and do better at casting. Selleck’s character is shallow and un-defined. As if the writers do not know what he should be like and they are winging it till he can build a repore with the other characters. The problem is, that makes him appear very weak and un-interesting…
Hopefully this will go quick and painlessly…

By rita rickey on September 29th, 2007 at 6:47 pm

I thought the new owner, Tom Sellek, made the show more fun. It was getting a bit stale. You never know what will happen. Sorry about “Mary”. She had a pretty sappy character. And she had entirely too much plastic surgery. GOod luck this season.

By Joe Brownbag on September 30th, 2007 at 1:45 pm

Vegas without Caans character, is like a Stargate without it’s Jack. The only up side with his leaving the show is he takes that whiney bitch of a wife with him.
IMHO:
Any other character was replaceable, but without Caan, Vegas is now toast. Trying to replace Caan with the limp wristed Selleck riding in on a horse, may attract a larger gay following, but it is still a joke.
Vegas is now left with nothing but t&a, and according to last nites 2 hr “notso special” that is what it has become.

RIP Vegas

Former viewer.

By tvfan777 on September 30th, 2007 at 9:26 pm

What were the producers thinking? With Ed and Mary gone and Delinda throwing up all over the place, (Yuck!), and having Tom replac Ed, well it just doesn’t work. This show is going down the tubes. It use to be soooo much fun to watch. Well one consolation–I watch the reruns and they are GOOD!!

By Bandit on October 1st, 2007 at 1:56 am

To me, the show actually ended. James Caan is Vegas. Once you take that away, the rest is just a matter of time. The show has jumed the shark. So long Vegas, it was good but once Ed said goodbye. The party is over!

By Celebrity Gossip on October 1st, 2007 at 4:31 pm

I kept waiting for Tom Sellek to be good and his performance was so flat.

I cannot believe they canned Nikki Cox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!She was my favorite character on the show and I always thought Danny and Mary should get back together. They are so perfect together. L think they really belong together. If it was because of money they should of canned Molly Sims cause both her parents on the show left plus I just don’t like her character. I might not watch it any more cause I think it can only go down from here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By Ketty on October 2nd, 2007 at 1:04 pm

I will miss Ed sooooooo much, the show will not be the same without him. I don’t think I will watch it any longer. I have seen the first and the second episode of the fifth series, I think i will stop here, unless they bring Ed Deline (James Cann) back.

By Charlie on October 4th, 2007 at 11:18 pm

No more Nikki Cox, then no more Las Vegas for me…

By Alan on October 7th, 2007 at 12:58 am

Without Nikki Cox I’m not watching anymore.
Molly and Danny make a lousy story. She stinks as an actress

By Jacie on October 7th, 2007 at 2:13 pm

Absolutely shocked that Nikki Cox is leaving. I agree with most of you that the pairing of Delinda and Danny is ick and DOES NOT work. James Caan too? What the … ? Maybe the network knows it’s going downhill and will take them out and bring them back? I wish …

By Lori on October 9th, 2007 at 6:27 pm

Anybody that likes Nikki Cox can buy a blow up doll! How fake can you get with her rediculous lips and boobs. I didn’s use to like Molly Sims, but she didn’t cave to the fake boobs and plumped up lips. She looks normal and now I like her. I will miss James Caan, he was my favorite. I like Tom Selleck! I will keep watching!

By Ed on October 11th, 2007 at 10:12 pm

Too bad they didn’t keep Nikki Cox. I loved her and think that her loss of weight was probably brought on by the crappy storylines they gave her. She was probably so stressed that she lost weight. I hate that Delinda chick and will stop watching now. As for big Ed, my hero, he made the right decision. Show is crap now.

By John L on October 26th, 2007 at 11:45 pm

Big mistake NBC Firing Nikki Cox, should have been Molly. The show will NOT last without James Caun.

By Kay on October 27th, 2007 at 5:26 pm

What is the name of the black women who appeared in the lemon bar show last night?

By Quinncie on October 27th, 2007 at 8:21 pm

I like Tom Selleck on the show even though I’ll miss James Caan. I’ll even miss Niki Cox - people get used to seeing the same people so it’s only natural. But, I agree with some of the other posters - the low-cut dresses/tops she always wore was too much. I guess they ran out of story-lines for her & wanted to bring in new people. The girl who plays Piper had a ridiculous roll last night - all she did was dress up in costumes. The show can blame budget cuts for getting rid of Niki Cox because they brought in new people instead. I bet Niki Cox was upset since she’d been with the show from the beginning. Although she might have known something was up when they brought in Vanessa Marcil.

By Quinncie on October 27th, 2007 at 8:26 pm

As one poster mentioned, Molly Sims’ character sure has changed. No more blond hair & acting like she’s 19. She looked too old to be acting like a ditzy college kid anyway.

So Tom Selleck’s character KNEW all along that Sam had the coin he needed to complete his collection! I didn’t see THAT coming. Interesting.

By Bumblebee Camaro on October 28th, 2007 at 10:01 pm

What were you thinking? Danny & Delinda story line is not in ’sync’ with the rest of the Vegas cast. Tom Selleck is an ‘okay’ actor but his character doesn’t seem to be quite established..what’s going on with this? I think ‘Mike’ and ‘Sam’ roles should be expanded. Mike is a ‘fun’ character while “Sam” should be semi-serious. Get rid of the “Danny & Delinda” relationship; send Delinda packing to her mom and dad, along with the baby…You really shouldn’t have fired Nikki Cox! Okay, I’m done, and I’m done with the show. It’s “CANCELLATION” TIME!!!!!!

By Bill Davis on October 29th, 2007 at 12:26 am

Every episode, dialog is lost to viewers because the leading females are yakking away too fast with all the background noises. Always happen when two or more of them are passing through the gambling area, especially around the slots. No idea what they are saying. Leaves holes in the plotting. The show seems to be have run out of steam on story lines. The ownership changes with phases of the moon.

By Mike on November 5th, 2007 at 5:51 am

This show needs to be canceled. With James Caan and Nikki Cox gone, the family atmosphere that made this show so fun to watch is deserted. The show needs to leave with the stars.

By Dennis on November 9th, 2007 at 2:28 am

Enjoying Tom Selleck as the new boss, however, several female friends, including my wife think he looks like a walrus with all that mess on his chin. He’s great looking but the facial hair detracts from his good looks. I have to agree with them.

By scott on November 9th, 2007 at 6:31 am

What brain dead idiot lets Nicki Cox go, this is a show about las Vegas, land of the HOT WOMEN. Then the same stupid idots replace her with a flatchested latino that looks like a librarian, stupid. I think the people who made this choice have never been to Vegas. I will start to watch the re-runs only, ASSEXUAL idiots!!!

By Bob Newhart on November 13th, 2007 at 6:43 pm

Who really thinks Mary was hot? She had the weirdest separated odd looking boobs I’ve ever seen. A 1/2 lb of makeup covered her bad complexion, making her look just plain creepy. Good riddens! She was hardly hot.

Ed was cool, and hopefully he’ll come back for an episode here and there to keep the whole plot of the show together. It wouldn’t make sense after Delinda has the kid for him not even to show up once in awhile.

Tom Selleck is cool and fits in well as the new owner.

By CoCo the Clown on November 16th, 2007 at 7:41 am

Well … I’ve TRIED to watch the revamped Las Vegas without James Caan and Nikki Cox — BUT the “spark” is long-gone. I like Selleck a bunch, but without Caan the driving force and feel of “old” Vegas “family” business is simply absent. Look, that Cox lady was funny, sexy, and what’s with the remark about her boobs. I should be so lucky as to have a lady built like her. And her SMILE made the series. I say, screw the producers and YES they have jumped the shark — several times over. The show sucks now. For that matter, today’s real Las Vegas sucks. Who, in their right mind, would blow up all their historic casinos and hotels? It’s not all just about the gambling but the mystique of the old Vegas and Mafiosa roots. Hey, I’m into the Soprano re-runs on A&E and don’t even look back for Las Vegas the series. It’s dead.

By Bozo on November 17th, 2007 at 2:17 pm

I agree with CoCo. I have tried to watch the show for weeks now without my favorite actors (or stories).I’ve resorted to fast-forwarding through all of Delindas scenes. The bad guy theme is gone and that made the show. Their days are numbered. Tick, tick, tick
sorry guys

By Richard Santarossa on December 13th, 2007 at 3:28 pm

About the new tv show las vegas with Tom Seleck. I like the show but whos idea was it to play that stupid background music in most scenes. Its just terrible, very annoying, I wish someone would get the hint and stop it.

By kiri on December 14th, 2007 at 1:34 am

well im dissapointed i wanted danny and mary to get married and have kids and oh yer have there white pikked fence lol i dnt want to watch the rest of the episodes now and oh yer danny gets delinda pregnat

By Jerry Lewis on January 31st, 2008 at 9:36 am

The show has crapped out.
Tom Sellek is a good actor but the new plots are terrible.
Nicki Cox was the show, from her opening shot of throwing dice from a Las Vegas crap table to great acting throughout past seasons. Baby you were eye candy.
Delinda should pack her bags with this baby and leave Las Vegas. Babys do not belong in Vegas “boring”.
The new fill in for Nicki Cox “Pepper or whatever her name is” is no Nicki Cox.
Good luck James Caan, you are missed big time and also your wife.
This shows life is numbered and will be cancelled this year.

I miss the old show and good riddens to this baby filled season.

By craighepworth on February 8th, 2008 at 12:12 pm

Are you guys drunk

Cox was awful, in season 1 she was fine but rapidly just became annoying. She was like breasts for hire

Delinda and danny are hilarious together, and this show is supposed to be camp.
Yes Ed is not in it anymore but big deal, he was great but all shows move on.
As long as the brilliant sam stays in the show then im happy

By Holly on March 7th, 2008 at 1:44 pm

Well, it looks like you all got your wish. The show is done. I am upset that it ended the way it did. That is 2 shows that NBC has just taken off of the air without any real ending. Good Luck to Josh, I am very proud of the local North Dakota boy!!! I hope to see everyone else in shows soon.

By Barb on March 15th, 2008 at 1:05 pm

I am very sad to see the show end the way it did. My husband and I just really loved the show, sure some things and some people changed, but I think that it was going to come back. It was getting funny.

I would love to see it come back, at least to let us know what happened with Delinda and Danny’s baby.

By Kathy on March 18th, 2008 at 6:42 pm

Shame on NBC for pulling the plug on Vegas the way it did. They could have filmed a couple of more shows to wrap it up.

By Draw on March 20th, 2008 at 9:35 am

For all of you who said 1 year ago this show is a loss withough Caan and Cox, are wrong. If you would have watched the season 5, you
d see for your self.. This season is in my oppinion the best one, with all the newcommers and stuff, I also though abit that Cooper wouldnt make it as Ed did his role, but honestly, it turned out great.

By Bonnie on March 20th, 2008 at 6:23 pm

The Best thing that every happend to Las Vegas TV show was having Tom Selleck added to the cast. I loved James Cann but the show didn’t seem right for him because his image was tougher. I wish they would of never axed Cox

I sure hope that it will return .

By Mel on April 12th, 2008 at 7:18 pm

Loved the show in the early days with the great Mr.Caan and the beautiful Nikki Cox. From reading the response it sounds like there’s a lot of jealous girls out there.Vegas with all it’s money, should pay to get the show back on for advertisement. People that can’t make it there, can watch the show and find out what it’s like.Vegas is great and so was the show!

By Joe on May 4th, 2008 at 8:46 pm

So has the show been canceled or what?

By MICHELLE on May 15th, 2008 at 11:08 pm

BRING LAS VEGAS BACK!
i swear the people of NBC are stupid! if they really cared at all about their viewers they would wake up and freaking realize that this show was awesome! if you would like to write the CEO of NBC and let him know what you think heres the address ::

Jeff Zucker
CEO of NBC/Universal
30 Rockerfeller Plaza
New York, NY 10112

please please, if you are a loyal fan of las vegas write him and let him know how important las vegas is!
i mean seriously who ends it at “to be continued” not only that but it was an awesome show!! and it still can be, there are so many juicy different things going on at once, they can totally work with it and write more!

WRITE AND LET HIM KNOW!
lets try and get this show back on the air!!

By norm on July 5th, 2008 at 10:46 pm

please bring back vegas, it’s my favorite tv show.

By Robert Talluto on July 13th, 2008 at 1:20 pm

What a shame!!!!!!!. One of the best ensamble shows on TV is now lost. I tivo the daily repeats and watch them 2`3 at a time. James was made for this show, Mary though sometimes wimpy added a bit of caring and sensitivity to the show. The boys play well off each other though Mike lacked loyalty in some episodes. Delinda though attractive was a little full of herself.
Sam, what can I say about Sam. SPUNCK, BEAUTY, SMARTS, SEXXXXXY, KILLER LOOKS ALL WRAPPED UP IN A NICE LITTLE PACKAGE. MS. LADD A TOUCH OF ELEGANCE AS ALWAYS (James should have spent more time with her!!!!!). THe British girl another breath of fresh air.
So NBC you blew it again, this was the Grand Hotel with Chips and Whales. Do you ever learn, you could have gotten at least 2 to 3 more years and maybe a Movie or two. Your new scripts lacked something with the new owner.
Oh I like the Tom Selleck (we share a birthday Feb 6), but he’s No James Caan, How about Dennis Hopper from the Mardi Grai eposode
Remember Star Trek was killed too with a fan base

By Josh on September 15th, 2008 at 2:35 am

what is the type and year of the yellow convertible that danny drives?

By David on November 7th, 2008 at 4:27 am

My wife and I go to the movies every friday night. When we get home I would love to watch the DVRed Las Vegas, now I can’t, bring back the show.I’m sick of all the Law and Order shows that are on with the same crap we see and hear on the news, so why not Las Vegas.

By Patrick on January 25th, 2009 at 7:37 am

I love watching Las Vegas. I do miss Big Ed. He made the shown. Mary made the show fun to watch. She should have been in a bikni. Delinda was not a good actress, she should have been axed. Mike and Danny were good, but they were no ED. A.J. ( Tom Selleck`) did not make a good Owner.

By JR on February 23rd, 2009 at 3:51 pm

Just bought all seasons because they were on sale for under 20 bucks…Finished all of the seasons. Its just not right how it ended the way it did. I really hope they bring it back (NBC or even TNT).

By zeke on March 2nd, 2009 at 9:46 am

i get to watch all reruns on tnt. HA!
