Keith Urban files suit over website name. Nicole Kidman’s husband takes on New Jersey painter Australian country singer Keith Urban has filed a suit against a New Jersey painter also called Keith Urban, claiming the painter’s use of the domain Keithurban.com is misleading.The painter’s website says “Welcome to the wonderful world of Keith Urban” and goes on to say “To those who don’t know, oil painting is one of my hobbies.” Urban claims that the website is misleading and implies that it belongs to him. He obviously hates painters. Maybe the National Painters Association should get enraged at Keith Urban about bashing painters. Whaaaaaaaaa! Maybe you should have registered your name instead of blowing lines of cocaine and having sex with Paris Hilton. Piss off Urban, you are getting really annoying.

Can someone please tell me why I keep hearing Keith Urban on the COUNTRY radio stations?
First of all, the music is NOT country music, its soft-rock.
Secondly, its NOT country music unless its sung with a country accent.
And third, his name is Keith URBAN! If it were really country music, his name would be Keith RURAL. Urban refers to a city, a metropolis, which is the antithesis of everything that is country.
Or maybe they just mix everything up and turn it around backwards down in Australia. Left is right, up is down, black is white, city is country.
Considering all this, I personally think that he should take his crap back to Australia and play it on the “country” stations that they have down there.
No, Australia, I’m not at all bashing you, it just seems odd that America just loves to eat up the shit that Australia feeds us. Foster’s beer, the Crocodile Hunter, Keith Urban.
If Keith Urban is country music, then Lynyrd Skynyrd is rap.

Actually, this article sounds as if it was WRITTEN by a “little girl” — a very ANGRY little girl at that. I’m not sure why I’m responding to such a sleazy blog like this, but here goes:
It’s common for celebrities to sue to protect their domain names. Others who have sued for this are: Hilary Swank, Jennifer Aniston, Elvis, Jennifer Lopez, Catherine Zeta Jones and her husband Michael Douglas, Bruce Springstein, Julia Roberts, Tom Cruise, and Madonna.
When Keith started out many years ago, it wasn’t a big issue, but now that he’s reached superstar status, his name is much more well known and the painter’s website is getting more activity than it ever got. If the painter was a man of “principle”, he would put a picture of himself on his site to avoid confusion. Keith has a right to protect his name from people who are trying to misuse it and profit from it.
As far as your classless comments about Keith’s past drug problems and other extracurricular activity (Paris?????? never heard THAT one!), well, EVERYBODY’s got a past and some are not proud of it. At least Keith voluntarily walked into a treatment facility BEFORE he did something dumb in public like Mel Gibson, Glen Campbell, Wynonna, Diana Ross, etc.). Keith Urban is a fine human being and he’s absolutely the best live entertainer I’ve ever been privileged to see. He doesn’t deserve even a mention on your trashy blog.

What an irritating blog! And, speaking of irritating, Andrew, since when do you have the right to say what is country and what isn’t, and what should be played where? What a laugh - how do you sing with a country accent?! I like country music and I like Keith Urban’s music. Obviously, there are thousands who do not share your view. I’m sure I’d rather listen to Keith Urban’s Australian accent than anything that comes out of your mouth! And as far as the painter’s website, it is misleading, there are links that go to Keith Urban’s site! I even thought it was Urban’s site years ago. Keith Urban is a good man and does alot of good things. His music is excellent and his concerts are mind blowing!

Any intelligent person knows that when you are famous, your name is a trademark therefore you must protect it. If someone is using your name for profit (it is misleading) and like “pimp my name”

You morons. The man has the SAME name as the country singer,it is not his fault that his parents named him Keith Urban. How in the heck is he trying to mislead people? What else is he suppose to go by? Why should he have to give up his name and his site,because some prissy bastard thinks he should be the only Keith Urban? On the painter’s site,it does not say “I am Keith Urban,the country singer”,so I see no wrong done here at all. Urban [the singer],has crappy music, is a fake and needs to stop trying to bully people!
