Keith Urban Cocaine Addiction
The 39-year-old country singer, who has publicly acknowledged a former addiction to cocaine, said he decided to stay for three months because he realized that learning to abstain was only part of the process to recovery.
“Learning about abstinence was one thing, but then there was all this other area of my life to start learning about, and so 30 days became 60, and 60 days became 90, and with each week that passed I found myself really learning how to surrender,” he said.
“It helped so much. Especially through a lot of the lonely days, which there was plenty of those in there,” he said.
“There was no big cataclysmic event that happened right before I went in,” Urban said. “It was a lot of small things that were happening in my life, a lot of small moments that were starting to accumulate that were telling me very loud and clear that I was a long way from my program of recovery, and they were making my life unmanageable.”
Urban thanked fans for supporting him with hundreds of cards, letters and e-mails.
“It helped so much. Especially through a lot of the lonely days, which there was plenty of those in there,” he said. I want to focus now on hiting some mad ass.

How immature is that? Obviously you have nothing better to do in life than crack on those that are doing something with their life. At least he was man enough to admit he had a problem and seek help. I bet if we dug around in your little closet, some “skeletons” would pop out! Grow up and try and find something constructive to do w/ your time, while Keith’s out there doing what he loves, being a decent human being, and actually making a real contribution to this world! Take lessons sweets!!

how low can you gte. you must think that picture is pretty hillarious. HE WENT TO REHAB FOR HELP. at least he knows about his porblem and is correcting it. It must have taken at leatsa minute to make that picture. MAYBE you could use that time to do something constutructive. like reevalutating your own self. because you must have your own issues to post suck a horrid thing.

okay youre pathetic.first of all he didn’t go to rehab for cocaine.he had an alcohol prob.and he admitted to it got help and is now better than ever.get over yourself.your not perfect!

Since completing his 90-day stint at the Betty Ford clinic in January, Keith
Urban says he feels older but wiser - and that’s exactly how he wants it.
“I do the old man view now,” the country star, 39, told The Tennessean
newspaper. “I picture myself in my 80s, looking back at my life and I try to
make decisions based on that view.”
Given his wider perspective, he sees various elements in his life in a new
way - and that includes his CD Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing, which he
was meant to promote when he instead sought treatment. “A tour? One record?
That is such a blip on the radar. When I went to Betty Ford, I didn’t care
if the whole record got scrapped. It was just time to take care of my life,”
he says.
“I’m never going to look back and think, ‘I wish I’d toured for one more
week in July.’ That doesn’t make any sense,” he says. “I’m trying to find a
quality of life, and that comes with trade-offs and sacrifices and balance.”
