US talk show host and media mogul Oprah Winfrey has earned an estimated $US1.5 billion during her career, putting her at the top of a Forbes magazine list of the wealthiest women in entertainment. Runner-up to Winfrey on Forbes’ new top-20 ranking was author JK Rowling, creator of boy wizard Harry Potter, with career earnings of $US1 billion, followed by lifestyle guru Martha Stewart with $US638 million and pop singer Madonna with $US325 million.
Forbes said to make its top-20 list, posted at www.forbes.com/womenstars on Friday, these female megastars needed a minimum net worth of $US45 million amassed over the course of their careers.

Pink is an amazing singer and performer, and in terms of sales, for example, Pink sold over 5 million CDs of her I’m Not Dead (IND) album alone, plus her I’m Not Dead Tour of 2006 and 2007 including over 30 sold out Arena shows in Australia, and not to forget other shows and sales of her singles and other albums, DVDs, and digital sales, etc.
On its own 5 million IND CD albums X approx $20 = approx gross $100 million in IND CD sales alone, plus all the other stuff.
