Andy Dick Says The N Word
![]() |
The last weekend a small scandal erupted in another Los Angeles comedy club. Â
Comedian Andy Dick let loose with the “N” word (nigger), and TMZ broke the story. Now Dick says that he made a huge mistake. Dick issued an apology via his publicist: “I chose to make a joke about a subject that is not funny. In an attempt to make light of a serious subject, I have offended a lot of people, and I am sorry for my insensitivity. I wish to apologize to Ian, to the club, and its patrons and to anyone who was hurt or offended by my remark.” Reports TMZ in their follow up to the story. |
(He was smirking during his apology) HMMM, this sounds a little fishy. I think every has-been celebrity or in this case (a never was) is trying to get into the Hollywood limelight. After Mel Gibson gets 2 billion dollars worth of free publicity, and then Michael Richards cashing in on increased Seinfield DVD sales, Andy Dick has decided to ride the race-train.
The funny thing is, I admire Andy Dick’s work and think he is one of the most under-rated personalities in Hollywood. I think this is a bold move, even if it was completely staged. Good job Mr. D Word.
