Michael Jordan and his wife of 17 years, Juanita, are divorcing.
“Michael and Juanita Jordan mutually and amicably decided to end their 17-year marriage,” the couple said in a statement issued through their lawyers. “A judgment for dissolution of their marriage was entered today. There will be no further statements.”
Juanita Jordan previously filed for divorce in January 2002, but withdrew her petition a month later when the couple announced they were attempting a reconciliation.
During her last divorce petition, Jordan said attempts to reconcile their marriage had failed and future ones “would be impractical and not in the best interests of the family.”
Michael Jordan told Ed Bradley that he went over the line in his gambling to the point of being stupid, but never was a compulsive gambler who would have jeopardized his livelihood or his family. But that’s not what the rumors are.

I got Michael Jordan’s autograph when he was at UNC-Chapel Hill and I was at Raven’s Croft School for a basketball camp. I’ve read many books on him and think he is a class act. I feel sorry for his wife and family and how it will affect them. I am sure all the years of his traveling took a toll on his wife and kids.

I think it is very said that Michael couldn’t keep his promise tell death do us part not until I get tired of cheating. I use to be in love with MJ but since the rumors I feel sorry for him because believe me he will regret it in the end. May God be with him.

this really breaks my heart, but i am sure there is a good reason for it and none of us on here have any room to judge, MJ was my idol growing up too, and on the level of morality im sure he has us beat. divorce is 98% of the time a good idea in my opinion anyways.
Loye ya MJ and best of luck

How does a man who hangs out with a criminal figure like James “Slim” Bouler, lies about his gambling, cheats on his wife, is reluctant to pass the ball, and retires not once,
twice, but three times have us beat? The truth is, he got married to improve his public image, nothing more, and nothing less.

Us normal citizens who arent in the spot light have a hard enough time being married, so its not a surprise when a high profile mega rich athlete has problems. Although what a majority of couples face this couple would not have. For one financialy there wouldve been no worries, which in turn guaranteed there kids utmost provisions, like top medical care, top education, etc. The couple wanted for nothing but yet in the long run left them lacking the one ultimate thing. Love for each other. I think in the end it came down to money and who was getting what. I guess one benefit from this is now they can focus on stepping up as parents in areas they might have lacked before due to the fact of the hectic life an NBA player faces. So maybe in this case everybody wons in the end.

I think no one should judge him on what he did, i think he is a good man and ever one make’s mistakes ever thing is done for a reason and i think mj is the best b-ball player there is and i hope god bless him and his kids.

MICHAEL, U CAN’T POSSIBLY UNDERSTAND WHAT WILL PREVAIL IN YOUR FUTURE!!! YOUR CHILDREN WILL END UP RESENTING YOU FOR LIFE. TRUST ME ON THIS. NO MONEY CAN EVER GIVE THEM WHAT THEY NEED. ONLY YOU & YOU ALONE CAN PROOVIDE THEM WITH THE LOVE & UNDERSTANDING OF A PARENT. PLS STEP UPTO THE PLATE, I BET YOU. I DIDN’T & I WILL ALWAYS REGRET MY DECISION. I TRULY LOVE MY KIDS.
