Here’s the big money makers. Looks like Pirates dominated the box office. Mickey Mouse pitched a rod in his pants over this one.. I couldn’t believe seeing Ricky Bobby on this list. That movie was like pouring lemon juice into paper cuts. It only goes to prove that wasting millions of dollars on advertising and catering to the lowest denominator of people (NASCAAR, white trash, and the south) is a winning combination. If one person buys that DVD, then should be killed in their sleep. Superman even at $200 million may be considered a loss, due to how expensive it was to make. The rest I really don’t have a comment for.
.) Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest $423 Million
.) Cars $244 Million
.) X-Men: The Last Stand #234 Million
.) The Da Vinci Code: $217.5 Million
.) Superman Returns: $200 Million
.) Ice Age: The Meltdown $195.3 Million
.) Over The Hedge: $155 Million
.) Talladega Nights: The Ballad Of Ricky Bobby: $148 Million
.) Click: $137.3 Million
.) Mission Impossible III: $133.5 Million
Movies are entertainment. Jackass 2 had the most ENTERTAINMENT hands down in the year 2006. Borat was a far second, but still second place. I have never seen a movie threatre roaring and laughing as they did during Jackass 2. These guys will go down in history for their fearless antics. Too many people underestimate Johnny Knoxville and the boys, but in my opinion they are genius. Seeing Ricky Bobby on this list and not Jackass 2 insults everything I believe in as a human being.
